EVS project in Turkey at the Natural Life and Treatment Centre

YouNet (2010-it-93) as sending organisation and Civil Dialogue Association as the coordinating organization (2009-TR-14) are pleased to announce the new EVS vacancies for 1st November 2010. We are looking for volunteers as of the nearest deadline that are expected to start their projects by May 2011. The outline of the projects are as follows:

2 vacancies in Natural Life and Treatment Center (2009-TR-38)

Natural Life and Treatment Center of Osmangazi Municipality is the center, where abandoned and unowned animals are treated, observed, cared, operated and given to ones that want to adopt animal. In order to avoid from the difficulties of reaching animal-lovers and gain more experiences on animal care&training, hosting a European volunteer will be beneficial both for the volunteer and our organization.

We expect 2 volunteers starting their project by May 1, 2011 until January 31, 2012 (8 months).

2 vacancies in Sukay Park (2009-TR-29)

SUKAYPARK, in where the volunteers wil work, is the first cableway facility, waterski park in Turkey. It is composed of various sections such as the islandi pool, children playground, walking and running tracks, sports equipment areas, wakeboard school, training area for beginners. Volunteers will have very different entertaining activities safely.

We expect 2 volunteers starting their project by May 1, 2010 until October 31, 2010 (5 months).

1 vacancy in EU Coordination Center (2009-TR-39)

In order to designate the responsibilities, needs and duties and to work for the sake of EU Accession process, Osmangazi Municipality has established a EU Coordination Center within itself, which was opened in 2007 with the attendance of Mr. Günter Verheugen, Vice-President of EU Commission. The Center has applied many grants and many of their projects have been realized since today. We are also working with young people at our local and supporting Osmangazi Municipaltiy Youth Council. On the other hand the EU Coordination Center stands as the office for external relations; thus relationships between international organizations, of which the municipality is a member, are undertaken in this office as well.
